Heather Plyer was highly recommended to us by our tenured advanced piano instructor Cameron Herren, as he and Heather were classmates at Texas A&M Commerce. We were searching for an instructor that could teach beginning to advanced piano, voice, beginning guitar, and beginning ukulele. Heather processed the character, qualities, and skills we look for in an instructor. We asked Heather to join our Performance Academy instructor staff in 2018.

Heather began taking piano lesson at 9 years old and was fortunate to continue studying with the same teacher for 10 years. She participated and competed in multiple piano festivals and competitions that included some of the top universities in Texas. Heather holds a bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from Belhaven University where she studied with Dr. Stephen Sachs and Texas A&M -Commerce where she studied with Dr. Luis Sanches. After graduating, she accompanied the Texas A&M University wind ensemble on their tour of Austria Summer 16’, performing at the Mozarteum as well as the University of Vienna.

Heather offers a blend of disciplined yet easy to understand learning environment for ages 6 and up. Her specialty is beginning to advanced piano, voice, beginning guitar, and beginning ukulele.

Heather is available for lessons on Friday and Saturday.
