Robin Hackett joined our Performance Academy staff in the fall of 2017. We were searching for an instructor to help us expand our vocal offering with advanced vocal technique, theater, acting, songwriting, and audition preparation. Robin’s long history of Pop and Broadway experience in New York proved to be a great fit.

Robin studied acting at HB Studios in New York City and songwriting at the Omega Institute with singer songwriter Rosanne Cash. She also served as the Director of Theatre/Vocal Arts at The International Conservatory of Performing Arts, Plano, TX from 2013-2017.

Robin offers a knowledgeable and disciplined learning environment for students looking to take their skills to an advanced level. Her specialties are Advanced Vocal Technique, Theatre, Pop, Jazz, Songwriting, and Audition Preparation. Robin also offers beginning piano, guitar, ukulele, and acting lessons. Robin works well with ages 10 and up.

Robin is a seasoned performer having recorded 8 albums and touring the US and Europe. She has shared the stage with music greats Richie Havens, Keb’Mo’, and Five for Fighting’s John Ondrask. Robin’s song “More” appeared as the title track on the Grammy nominated CD from Bregette Rideau and her song “Hard Left” appeared on the CBS hit comedy How I Met Your Mother. She has also coached and mentored multiple actors and musicians including Hayley Orrantia from the X Factor and star of the hit TV show “The Goldbergs.”

Robin currently offers lessons on Tuesday and Wednesdays.
