Presenting the all new Taylor 417E Rosewood, featuring their Grand Pacific Body Size and Tobacco Sunburst Top.
The 400 Series offers the most accessible presentation of solid rosewood/spruce guitars in the Taylor line. For 2023 Taylor is updating these guitars with a new aesthetic package that elevates their visual character to match their stage-worthy sound. A new tobacco sunburst top gives these models a rich, refined-rustic vibe that complements the tonal warmth and lush overtone response of the rosewood/ spruce wood pairing, supercharged by V-Class bracing under the hood.
New aesthetic details include an agoya shell rosette and an elegant “Finial” inlay design in Italian acrylic that evokes flourishes found in carpentry and architecture. With their highly versatile sound and newly refined looks, these guitars deliver pro-level performance across all musical applications.
The 417e is a Grand Pacific acoustic-electric crafted with solid Indian rosewood back and sides, a solid Sitka spruce top and V-Class bracing. The round-shoulder dreadnought design pairs beautifully with the classic rosewood/spruce tonewood configuration, yielding a vintage-inspired, blended sound with clear low-end power and notes that overlap into a seamless whole.
A warm bass range and crisp trebles resonate around a slightly scooped midrange, while the innovative bracing design coaxes out more power, longer sustain and near-perfect harmony across the fretboard.
Like its siblings, the 417e is detailed with white binding, black and white top purfling, a single-ring agoya shell rosette, Finial fretboard inlays in Italian acrylic, a gloss-finish body with a Tobacco Sunburst top, nickel tuners and a faux tortoiseshell pickguard.
The 417E comes with Taylor's onboard ES2 electronics and ships with a deluxe brown hardshell case.

Orders placed Sunday-Monday will be processed for shipment the following Tuesday. For Free Shipping items, Effects pedals and small goods items are generally shipped via USPS Priority Mail, and Guitars and Amplifiers are generally shipped via UPS Ground. Due to our central location in the middle of the US, most orders will be delivered within 1-3 days delivery time. Other shipping methods are available (at an additional cost), including next day air.
