Presenting the newly revised Suhr PT15 2x12 Pete Thorn Signature Speaker Cabinet.

This cabinet was engineered to sound and feel as close to a 4x12 as possible. The combination of a Greenback and Vintage 30 speaker marry two of the most iconic guitar speakers in one cabinet. Capable of handling up to 50 watts of power. and is the perfect cabinet to match the Suhr PT15 or PT15 I.R. Heads.

When Pete and John set out to create a new 2x12 cabinet, the goal was clear: to engineer a cabinet that captures the massive tone and feel of a 4×12 in a smaller, lighter, and easy to manage form factor.

4×12 construction methods are at the heart of this cabinet. The amount of air space in this design enhances the bass response and resonance. The angled baffle results in excellent projection that cuts through even the busiest of stages.

After many hours of testing speakers and various combinations, Suhr found the ideal match to be a Celestion® Greenback and Vintage 30. Two iconic guitar speakers come together to create the perfect blend in this form factor. The speakers are loaded diagonally with the Greenback in the upper left and the Vintage 30 in the lower right.

I recently bought a Suhr PT15 212 cabinet to run with my Suhr SL67 amp.  This is the best sounding rig I've ever played through, including Marshall JCM800 half stack, DSL100 half stack, EVH 5150iii 412 cabinets, Avatar cabinets, DSL40CR combo, Hot Rod Deluxe IV, and various digital modelers.

If there is a better sounding option than Suhr, I'd love to hear about it.  But I'm not looking.

I'm a Suhr Man.
