In 2013 Mateus Asato received his first Suhr Classic Antique. Little did Suhr know at the time, he would go on to become one of the most inspirational and in-demand guitar players in the world today. He has performed with artists such as Tori Kelly and Jesse J, just to name a few.
Mateus Asato has grown up before our very eyes to become one of the predominant guitar voices of this generation. His musicality, his tone, and his limitless technique coalesce into one of the most versatile and well-rounded musicians we have heard play the instrument. Now, Mateus and Suhr have put their heads together to create his next signature guitar, the Suhr Mateus Asato Signature Classic T.
The Mateus Asato Signature Classic T is an incredible combination of a top-bound Swamp Ash body and a beautiful ‘3A’ Roasted Birdseye neck, finished in a strikingly clean, piano black.
Mateus and John Suhr put their heads together to create two new custom pickups for this new guitar. John Suhr painstakingly hand-wound a number of different neck and bridge pickups to find the perfect combination that Mateus was looking for. Perfectly finished stainless steel frets, a stunning painted bakelite pickguard, Suhr's silent single coil system (SSCII) and their unmatched craftsmanship, all make this instrument a Suhr, however, all of the hours and work put in by Mateus and John has culminated in something truly special, the Suhr Mateus Asato Signature Classic T.

SUHR LOCKING TUNERS: Proprietary Suhr locking tuners provide improved tuning stability, easy string changes, and an 18:1 gear ratio.

We are open Tuesday-Saturday from 10am until 6pm CDT. Any order placed before 3pm CDT Tuesday through Saturday is processed for shipment the same day. Orders placed Sunday-Monday will be processed for shipment the following Tuesday. For Free Shipping items, Effects pedals and small goods items are generally shipped via USPS Priority Mail, and Guitars and Amplifiers are generally shipped via UPS Ground. Due to our central location in the middle of the US, most orders will be delivered within 1-3 days delivery time. Other shipping methods are available (at an additional cost), including next day air.
