What can’t Ian Thornley do? Hailing from Toronto, Ontario, the lead singer of his band Big Wreck, a world-class guitar player, a songwriter, and solo-artist, Ian Thornley is an incredible musician in every sense of the word.
It is our pleasure to introduce the latest achievement in Suhr's search to build Ian his perfect guitar. The all-new Suhr Ian Thornley Signature “Sonic White” Classic S has all of the incredible tone and playability that you would expect to find in an instrument with Ian Thornley’s signature on the back.
The first Classic S that Suhr has built for Ian has an alder body, with an incredibly stable roasted maple neck with his custom Ian Thornley V neck shape. Complete with a roasted maple fretboard, this sets the stage for Ian to build a powerhouse of an instrument. Equipped with an Aldrich Humbucker neck and bridge pickup and an ML Standard in the middle position, combined with Ian’s custom wiring gives you access to a complete range of tone, covering any genre you can imagine. Driving riffs, soaring leads, and clean and clear rhythms and chords, this guitar does everything you can dream.

Much like my signature Classic JM, the new Sonic White Classic S is incredibly diverse, easy to play, with a touch more horsepower and a familiar, comfortable shape. This guitar was born of wanting all of these features, as well as a new roasted maple fingerboard instead of the usual rosewood. VERSATILE ELECTRONICS: The humbuckers can be independently set for series or parallel operation thanks to convenient push/push switches installed on the tone controls.

We are open Tuesday-Saturday from 10am until 6pm CDT. Any order placed before 3pm CDT Tuesday through Saturday is processed for shipment the same day. Orders placed Sunday-Monday will be processed for shipment the following Tuesday. For Free Shipping items, Effects pedals and small goods items are generally shipped via USPS Priority Mail, and Guitars and Amplifiers are generally shipped via UPS Ground. Due to our central location in the middle of the US, most orders will be delivered within 1-3 days delivery time. Other shipping methods are available (at an additional cost), including next day air.
