Presenting the Lowden Wee Lowden WL-50, This one with the Fan Fret Option, Master Grade Honduras Rosewood Back and Sides, Master Grade Western Red Cedar Top, and LR Baggs Anthem electronics.

The Wee Lowden was designed by George at the request of Gary Lightbody as a gift for Ed Sheeran. It is designed to be compact with a 610 mm scale length, and a soundbox that is 40 mm narrower and 5 mm shallower then the S model. However, the internal bracing and the choice of woods are such that the bass response is increased as much as possible to avoid the 'boxy' sound that most small guitars have.

The advantage of the Fanned-Fret option on a Wee Lowden is the ability for tighter bass response and more accurate intonation, especially on a smaller body guitar.

"I have been dreaming about designing a truly ‘small’ guitar for quite a while - but as usual I wanted the sound to be anything but small! The final design focused on voicing the bracing and soundbox geometry so that the voice was even and smooth without the ‘boxiness’ sometimes overly evident in small guitars.
