Presenting the Hybrid Guitars T 7, developed in conjunction with guitarist Charlie Hunter. This one is in Gloss Natural with a Black Limba Body, Maple Neck, and Ebony Fretboard.
Designed and built by Charlie Hunter, Clay Conner, and Wes Lambe, A Hybrid guitar is a bass and guitar combined into one instrument. You can simultaneously play bass lines, chords, and melodies. Fanned-frets® are a critical feature. The bottom 3 strings are dedicated to a bass register, and the top 3-5 strings (depending on the model) are in a guitar register, all on one neck. Each side has separate circuitry and is meant to be plugged onto its own corresponding amplifier.
In the case of the T7 there are 3 bass strings (tuned G-C-F), and 4 guitar strings (Tuned C-F-Bb-D) when it ships from the factory, it can also be setup as a standard single output baritone tuned 7-string, or a George Van Eps style 7-String. In mono mode. All strings are sent to the top output jack and the bass controls don’t function. The guitar side works like a regular two pickup guitar with a master vol, tone and 3-way toggle.
In stereo mode the 3 bass strings are sent to the lower output jack and the 4 guitar strings are sent to the upper jack. In this mode the bass and guitar controls become independent. The bass side has a master volume and a blend for the neck and bridge. The guitar controls operate the guitar side of the pickup. Expand your tonal range and explore new levels of creativity with this amazing instrument.
