In late Spring of 2019, our Performance Academy was looking to expand its vocal instruction offering. Iveth Luna, one of our tenured vocal specialists, recommended we reach out to an Oklahoma Baptist College acquaintance Emmalee Webb. After meeting Emmalee, it was evident she was highly qualified for vocal instruction and qualified to teach guitar, piano, and ukulele as well. Emmalee was a great fit for our programs. She joined our staff in June of 2019.
Emmalee’s music roots run deep. She is a fifth-generation musician. Her mother, Louan Ewbank, is well respected voice instructor in the McKinney area. Emmalee also participated in McKinney Boyd HS choirs and was a member of the Praise & Worship team at First McKinney.
Emmalee graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University with a music degree in Worship Arts.
While at OBU she earned scholarships to perform with the campus worship band for 2 years and the mixed choir all 4 years at OBU. Emmalee studied voice for 4 years with Rebecca Ballenger Assistant Professor of Music OBU and 3 years with Kelsey D’Emilio Assistant Professor of Music OBU. Emmalee also studied piano 2 years at OBU.
Emmalee has led and worked with a variety of Praise & Worship teams since 2013. She currently performs weekly with the Praise and Worship team at The Heights Church in Richardson.
Emmalee works well with students of all ages. Here teaching environment is warm, structured, and inspiring. She specializes in beginning to advanced vocal instruction for students looking to be classically trained or learn modern pop styles. She also offers beginning to intermediate guitar, piano, and ukulele, and is available for lessons on Thursdays and Saturdays.
